AP Picks up Story

AP Picks up Story

The Associated Press has picked up the Southern Illinoisan's story on the Old Slave House and the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom program. The State Journal-Register in Springfield ran the wire story today.

BTW: This is only the second time the SJ-R has covered the Old Slave House as far as we know. Crenshaw's son, Charles H. Lanphier, was one of the early owner-editors of the Illinois State Register until he sold the paper during the Civil War.
