Southern Illinois' Next
Twice over the last few days I've heard Southern Illinois is next in terms of Gov. Blagojevich's economic recovery plans. He's already announced plans for two of the 10 downstate regions. The first account took place at a statewide conference in Springfield last week. The second took place in Sunday's Southern Illinoisan when they quoted Larry Woolard, the gov's economic czar for the region who said it would be next month.

Will we finally hear from the governor directly concerning the Old Slave House? We can only hope.
