Southern Story
The Southern Illinoisan has a story today on the Old Slave House and effort to get it nominated for the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.

The story is titled, "Groups looking into options for reopening Old Slave House". That's a bit of a misnomer as neither project currently being worked on by itself will reopen the site.

However both the UGRR Network to Freedom application and the drive to get a spur for the Ohio River National Scenic Byway will certainly helped efforts to operate the Old Slave House whenever it does eventually reopen.

Don't forget you can still read the nomination application and comment on it on the Application page.
